Betrayal Sonnet

Everyone has been betrayed 

Whether we are young or old

For some it is when loved ones have strayed

by doing something bad or bold

For others it is when a friend leaves a friend

for some excitement or adventure

They of course will lose their head

for leaving them  to pursue some silly venture

For people like me it is love that was never meant to be

everyone like me has tried to find their true love 

but it just isnt working out for people like me

love to me has taken a shove 

to my solitary life

As I age I wonder what it would be like to have a girlfriend or a wife
